Just when you think you've seen it all... Britain battered by THUNDERSNOW!
BRITAIN was battered by snow and deadly gales yesterday.
A 57-year-old driver became the third victim of the weather onslaught.
He died after his car crashed into a lorry that had overturned in gales on the A39 near Bideford, in Devon.
A mini-tornado tore through parts of Cornwall.
And in Wales, thundersnow struck 24 homes in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, while lightning blasted two more.
Thundersnow, which rarely occurs, happens when thunder and lightning combine with a snowstorm.
In Cumbria, police had reports of 40 crashes on the countys roads in just 24 hours. More gales of up to 100mph are threatening major travel mayhem today.
Leon Brown, forecaster for The Weather Channel UK, said some regions could see the mercury sink to -15C by Friday.
