Kyle Arrington:
How New England Patriots are staying focused ahead of Super Bowl
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS star Kyle Arrington reckons a week in isolation will turn his side into Super Bowl winners again.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has opted to keep his squad in the remote location of the 'Sheraton Wild Horse Pass' in the middle of nowhere.
The hotel is in the desert and miles from the distractions and hype of Sunday's Super Bowl XLIX in the University of Phoenix Stadium.
Belichick is determined to keep his stars out of the spotlight as much as possible and cornerback Arrington reckons it could prove to be an inspired move.
He said: "It's two miles just to get to the parking lot. The first time we got here I think it was a two-and-a-half mile drive from the road.
"It's a good thing. We have great security checkpoints, so they're not just letting people get to us. It keeps us focused."
Arrington, meanwhile, has ditched being superstitious because it once backfired in his face.
He added: "My superstition is to be spontaneous, I guess if that makes any sense.
"My superstition is to not have any superstition. Meaning, I tried it one time.
"I had a great game one time a few years ago, so I was like 'let me repeat everything I did down to the shoes that I wore'.
"But the following week wasn't so good. So you know what? Im throwing that out the window.
"Now, I might listen to hip-hop music one week, R&B leading up to the game the next week. I just try to keep it random."
