BRITS welcomed in 2015 by flocking to the annual Thames fireworks display and Hogmanay celebration in Edinburgh.
The capital kickstarted the new year with a breathtaking firework display that went off without a hitch.
The Thames was lined with 100,000 people who for the first time were asked to cough-up £10 to watch the iconic London Eye spectacle.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police had earlier warned those without tickets to stay away from the several viewing areas situated around London.
The Shard, Europe's tallest skyscraper, ushered in the celebration by projecting an enormous digital clock so merry party-goers could watch the final ten minutes of 2014 tick away.
As midnight rang out across the UK, some 12,000 individual fireworks were set off above the capital city.
Meanwhile, in Edinburgh the iconic Hogmanay celebrations got well under way as thousands flooded the streets to bring in the New Year.
More than 75,000 revellers huddled on the streets to watch Lily Allen headline the Concert In The Gardens.
Fergus Campbell, 23, from Birmingham said: We came here just to experience Hogmanay after hearing so much about it and the atmosphere is brilliant.
Its our first time in Edinburgh and were especially looking forward to seeing the fireworks off the castle, thats the main thing.
Michelle Thornton, from Queensland, Australia, travelled to the city with a group of friends and said: Theres a crowd of us that just decided to come here for Hogmanay because we heard that its the best party in town.
Its been absolutely fabulous, were loving it.
"Were definitely coming again, were having an absolute ball.
