EXCLUSIVE:
Man Utd set for David De Gea CRUNCH talks with agent Jorge Mendes
MAN UNITED are set for crunch talks on David De Geas future with his agent Jorge Mendes.
Influential Mendes is due in Manchester this week, seeking a new £140,000-a-week contract for De Gea, 24.
That £7.28million-a-year deal would make De Gea the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world.
The sticking point, though, is believed to be the buy-out clause, with United valuing their world-class keeper at £50m.
But Mendes, mindful of the fact that Real Madrid are eyeing De Gea, wants the release figure to be £35m.
But De Gea has only 16 months left on his current contract and United are anxious to address that situation.
The length of a new contract for the Spanish stopper also has to be determined.
Mendes will also press United for a decision on the future of striker Radamel Falcao, 29, who is on loan from Monaco.
United, meanwhile, have been eyeing another Roma midfielder Belgiums Radja Nainggolan, 26.
Nainggolan was a late substitute in Romas fiery 2-1 Europa League win at Feyenoord on Thursday, which was suspended for more than ten minutes because of crowd trouble at the De Kuip Stadium.
Neighbours Manchester City, as well as Arsenal and Liverpool have also been very impressed with Nainggolan and Roma have responded by offering him a new contract.
Uniteds top target at Roma is still their Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, 25.
But he has suffered a new knee injury setback.
